Fresh Community Wellness SCIO

Salutogenic approach to health & community wellness

Discussion with Alan Carter from food forests, to exciting suggestions for Seaton Trails

We were delighted to meet and chat with Alan Tuesday 8th March, as well as have a short walk around Seaton/ Linksfield neighbourhoods. It was incredible learning so much, in just over an hour. There are some exciting engagement opportunities coming up, as a direct result, where everyone can get involved!

Opportunities for protecting new trees, as well as creating some exciting areas around existing trees, and grasses. The aim is to then name these areas as part of the Seaton Trail. We can get these areas not only protected, but with added colour, and being named by the community, they allow everyone to have some ownership of the local neighbourhood.

With an emphasis on considering local wildlife, biodiversity, as well as aerial appearances, have all previously been requested by residents, looking down on barren, or litter strewn areas. These ideas will hopefully add to the view, the environment as well as creating some more colour & positivity.

You can find out more during our relaxed T.R.A.I.L.S session held every Friday, 3pm, so come along to hear some of the ideas and possibilities – as well as suggesting your own! Have a little look at some of our recent walks, in our short promotion Video clip
