We are also delighted to announce that in 2022, we will be introducing phase 1 of our outdoor free sports facilities. This will be placed at the end of the SNUG community garden, beside Aulton Court Play park. Thanks to the Fairer Aberdeen Fund, award announced 3rd March 2022, especially aimed at SIMD young adults of Seaton neighbourhoods, this is a fun way to get back into fitness. But all ages will be able to access this, so it benefits all. We have called this PUMPZ – watch a short clip here.
This is all part of our S.P.O.R.T.S project, steadily building and developing step by step.
As mentioned on the project page, this will build year after year, phase after phase. With some exciting long term goals in association with groups such as Aberdeen Gurudwara. In addition, with thanks to ACC environmental who will be working with the community, to keep an eye on this young adults opportunity, along with the playpark (by Aulton Court), which it already looks after. Everything we do is for the community, as an independent registered charity, but it is with partnerships such as this, that we are able to do so much more. Ensuring safety, and working in synergy with all local groups, services & authorities/ partnership bodies.
