We are delighted to announce that our funding application from 2021 season has been accepted, following a few discussions and suggestions from their incredible team. Having something like this, will change out ability completely to not only operate and help more people in 2022, but also having the reassurance and advice from a caring team, boosts our confidence.
We know we are a grassroots charity, but we do intend on doing our best for our community. We got a lot of help and advice along the way. From services, local groups, local residents and especially ACC, and Steven Shaw from ACC Environmental, also our first auditor for 2021, Keep Scotland Beautiful, It’s your neighbourhood entry!
It is with links like this that so much has gone to be achieved. There are many who have assisted, firstly a huge thanks to Shmu, they have never ceased with their help not just for FRESH, but for all of the community. Along with STAR community flat & Aberdeen Gurudwara, who were straight on board, with residents/ Staff from Bon Accord Care 4 supported living blocks too.
Although we are an independent group, do not forget that as well as all of these it was local residents, starting with Lewis, then many more who have helped. Plus ongoing direct involvement from Aberdeen City Council, Aberdeen City Health & Social Care Partnership, Local authorities, Councillors and many more. The press have also been extremely kind, with a huge thanks to local Press & Journal.

- Quick wins such as some seating & planters for part of the Seaton House garden confirmed
- Quick wins for S.N.U.G community garden, plus extra tools are confirmed.
- Support for corner pockets, and local groups such as Aberdeen Gurudwara & S.T.A.R community flat will continue – with the addition of working with Cfine, One Seed Forward & Keep Growing Aberdeen.
