We are delighted to announce that thanks to funding from the Health Improvement fund, we are able to dedicate part of this to building a gardening area at Seaton House, for the 3 nearby supported living blocks, and any other 55+ in the area.
- Independence achievable, people can visit the new garden area in their own time
- Great way to have friends/ families come and visit them with a personal/ private garden space
- Incredible for circulation, creativity, assisting with or reducing chances of dementia by doing simple safe activities, or just coming down for a chat
- Sheltered seating areas for those wishing to pop down in any weather, Aberdeen may bring
- Opportunity to overcome age barriers, by welcoming opportunity for local residents & city wide volunteers to come and assist, meet & chat with those who may not see many people, overcoming social isolation

We are currently awaiting permissions from Aberdeen city council and authorities to place containers in our SNUG community garden, which will not only make storing tools a possibility for all activities in the garden, surrounding areas, maintaining local trees & greenspaces easier. It is a simple 2 min walk through the underpass to be able to start the build for our 55+ special project.
Further updates coming soon, to volunteer or find our more just use our contact form
This design includes colourful planting, adult swing, sheltered arbour units, privacy planters and much more – what a difference this will make not just for 206 households in supported living in Seaton & Linksfield neighbourhoods – but for all 55+ and the whole community.
